A Giclee ("zhee-clay") print is an individually produced, high-resolution print made using a new sophisticated inkjet printer technology. A digital printer sprays millions of drops of ink per square inch onto specially treated canvas, producing an image with brilliant velvety colors, crisp contrasts and razor-sharp details.
There are many advantages to Giclee prints, including the fact that artists can reproduce their art as needed, or on-demand. Once an image is digitally archived, additional reproductions can be made to any size. Archived files will not deteriorate in quality as negatives and films do.
Dimensions are in inches.
